The benefits of inconvenience - wired power tools
If you expect to only infrequently use a power tool, a wired version will be the best buy:
- They are cheaper and have a higher proportional resale value;
- They are more powerful;
- They can be used immediately and indefinitely upon demand;
- They have no (or, at least, lower) vendor lock-in;
- They can be stored indefinitely without damaging a core component (i.e., the battery).
Sometimes, the benefits of inconvenience are greatly underestimated.
